Here’s a super easy recipe for sugar cookies to decorate. They’re soft, tasty and not rock hard! They’re also super easy to make.

I tried them out with my 3 year old cousin Mantha yesterday and they came out really good.

I miss London. I really do. I’ve been missing it even more than usual lately! I miss the people, the weather, the food and pretty much just the feeling of being there. I miss learning how to take the tube and the bus and riding the black cabs (even if they’re expensive), and walking around without feeling like you walked ran a marathon like in Manila.

I also miss passing the river every time we’d drive into Central London from Putney.
I love London so much because of its character;

Yay, more baking for me!

I love After Eights. I hoarded them back in London when I saw them in Poundland. I have no idea where to get them here in Manila though. (SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME!) They’ve always been one of my favorites, but eating them kind of makes me feel weird sometimes. Maybe they’re too tasty for me or something, which is why mixing them with something else sounded like a pretty good idea to me. I’ve been meaning to try making After Eight brownies so I guessed today would be a good day to try them.

It’s been a really long time since I last baked anything. In fact, i’m pretty sure the last time I baked was before I left for London last March! I got so tired from baking all those rainbow cupcakes that I decided to take a break from making anything that had to do with anything along the lines of mixers and flour…
BUT, that hiatus is over and lately i’ve been having the urge to bake again! I’m pretty sure i’m something you’d call an impulsive baker. I get this sudden need to bake something i’ve been craving for, but I never really eat any of it when it’s actually finished… HAHA my friends are always happy though, and so is my household, because they consume most of what I bake.
I had lunch at Mom and Tina’s Cafe/Bakery last week and had one of their Mandarin Orange Butter Cupcakes. I usually find their cupcakes a little too dry, but this one was super moist and yummy. I’ve been craving for one ever since! Which is why I decided to make some today.

Before I started baking though,

Prospectuses from The London College of Fashion and Istituto Marangoni. I haven’t even started college, yet I’m already thinking of grad school. One day!!!
According to my clock, it’s 12:14 and officially May 2! I’d say I started May pretty well. This morning I tried the Body Jam class at Fitness First with my crazy girls, Pat, Maez and Kat! Haven’t seen them complete since before I left for London so it was fun. Im also super proud of myself for waking up at 7:30 for the class!!!!! I left the house without breakfast so of course we rendered the workout totally useless by having breakfast afterwards. (Hey, at least we walked to the restaurant!)Gotta admit, eating will always be our favorite and best past time. I loved the class though. Haven’t been that pumped up in ages! I missed the post-workout feeling. It’s always the good kind of tired. :)
Tomorrow (later), I’m waking up at 7 to go to the LTO with dad to get yet another student permit. This time though, I’m actually going to learn legally. Hehe I start legit driving school on Thursday! (finally) although I’ve already been learning from dad since late last year. Im gonna get even busier after LTO because I’ll be headed to Ateneo to complete all my medical requirements with Pat and Maez again! (I’m more excited about the Katip lunch date that’s coming with the trip. Hehe) May’s looking real exciting to me. One month til I start college!

Belated happy birthday to the best inspiration, teacher and grandmother ever! It’s been almost 3 years and miss you every single day. :(
Here’s the essay I wrote about you that got me into Ateneo. I couldn’t have done it without you! I wish you were here to celebrate with me but I know you’re smiling from up there. I hope you had a fun birthday party!
I love you to the moon and back, Nanny! ♥

Teaching Love
Love can be many things: a feeling, an action, a sense of duty, or a lesson. It is something we all possess, yet something some of us may find hard to cultivate. Love is something we all perceive, but what is love if it is not taught the right way, by the right people?
Growing up, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by people whose smiles were almost as big as their hearts. Early on I realized that what set me apart from most children my age was the considerable need to be of service to others; I’d always wished to be able to turn my need to help others into something tangible. I joined CARA Philippines (an animal welfare society) when I was 12, and
